A Brief History Lesson... Over 30 years ago, seventeen-year-old Mike Kittredge made a candle as a Christmas gift for his mother. Using natural bees wax and a selection of fruit and flower extracts, the candles were so rich and uplifting that Mike was soon convinced by his friends to start a regular production. The Yankee Candle was born. Within months, Mike was taking so many orders than he opened his first retail store. He began to experiment more, took the time to find out just what his customers wanted, and introduced new aromas to the range; including many unique fruity, flowery, spicy and fresh fragrancies. Today, Yankee Candles sell worldwide, and still use only the best quality natural ingredients for that perfect uplifting freshness.
